Rules & Laws Course Required for License Renewal

Effective with the 2008 license renewal cycle, all certified and registered contractors must have completed a one-hour Construction Industry Licensing Board (CILB) approved rules and laws course to satisfy the State of Florida's continuing education requirements for license renewal. Contractors will not be able to renew their license without completing the new requirement.

If you are unsure of the number of credits you have completed, log-in on the CILB website at www.myfloridalicense.com and check your individual record.

For those contractors who have not completed the new requirement or any other continuing education courses needed for renewal, check the ACCA of Central Florida calendar for CEU offerings at monthly membership meetings or plan early and attend the Annual Education Conference offered each spring by our state association, the Florida Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association. Contractors have the opportunity to obtain all 14 hours of CILB required courses for license renewal.  Click here for conference info.
